Jeff Glor Says Farewell to CBS Saturday Morning: ‘I Hope to See You Again Real Soon’ — Watch
Jeff Glor is saying goodbye to CBS Saturday Morning after it was reported earlier this week that he’d be exiting CBS News amid a wave of layoffs.
“I grew up as a kid who came to love the written word,” Glor said during his final Saturday show. (Watch video below.) “So it has been a thrill to meet some of the writers that shaped me and find new ones and share their stories with you on this broadcast, share the power of perseverance and creativity.”
Glor went on to thank producers and editors of the series, as well as his co-hosts Dana Jacobson and Michelle Miller, calling them his “on-air family.”
The anchor ended his farewell by addressing viewers directly: “Finally to you, thank you for watching. It means everything. I don’t know exactly what’s next, but I do know: I love what I do. I love working with great people and putting quality on the air, interviewing and anchoring and reporting and doing stories that matter and that will last. That is not going away. It never will. I hope to see you again real soon.”
Glor has been with CBS News since 2007, first serving as a reporter and anchor for CBS Sunday Morning and The Early Show, which was later rebooted as CBS This Morning. In December 2017, Glor became the anchor of the CBS Evening News, taking over for Scott Pelley. Glor was then replaced in June 2019, with 60 Minutes correspondent Norah O’Donnell taking his place in the anchor’s chair. That same month, he joined CBS Saturday Morning as a co-host.

I never got over when he was replaced with Norah. Started watching David Muir then. I WILL WATCH HIM WHEREVER HE GOES. THE 2 ITHER LADIES Michele and Dana can’t carry the show like he did. CBS messed up again

So disappointed. The CBS execs are nuts. They’ve jacked Harry Smith around for years…..and he’s fabulous, Nora is excellent, and now they’re dumping her, The Morning Show is plain nonsense, Jane Pauley should retire, never was any good on Sunday Morning, and now Jeff Glor.

Jeff is a consummate journalist. I will miss him on Saturday mornings. I am a retired meteorologist, and I spent my life after grad school in broadcasting. Jeff I always have appreciated the quality of your work at CBS. Sorry you got caught in the cut backs, because you are truly a top network talent. I wish you only the best. Hope to see you on your next gig very soon.
I’m very sorry to see Jeff go. He’s fantastic. Saturday morning will not be the same. We will follow him wherever he goes. He has such a way about him. I could give you a list of employees you could have let go instead of Jeff Glor. I have to say the main street media has lost their chance in giving the public good intelligence programs and have lost the trust of the viewers. Jeff is one of the intelligent people that brought us a good program on Saturday mornings. Really disappointed in CBS for letting him go.
Very unfortunate and sad seeing treasured reporters leaving in times like these. Will miss their perspectives and reporting. Hope they find great jobs elsewhere.
So sad that he leaving Saturday morning show. He is the best. He got screwed when Nora McDonald took over CBS News. I hope we will see him back in the air soon. I Will miss him

SURE AM SAD TO SEE HIM GO!! He is part of the magic. He has an adventurous and a soft side. I was surprised. I hope you land somewhere soon doing what you love and so we can see you again on air. I think CBS is maki g a mistake if they let him go.
I’m done with CBS. My favorite on air personalities were Jeff (I’m from Buffalo), Anthony Mason and Harry Smith who all got the shaft.

He made it worth getting up in the morning to watching this CBS Family. It always made my morning experience as if I was with an old friend as he shared his stories & experiences. Truly saddened that my friend is leaving. His warmth & amazing smile will be truly missed by me.
This was outrageous. This trio had the best chemistry by far of all the morning news shows.
I love Jeff sorry to see him leave. His love of authors and the books he reviews are the highlight of my Saturday mornings. You can see how much he loves books by his inquisitively interesting questions and his relationship with the authors. I also think he holds that team togethet
CBD has booted Jeff around too much. He is so good at his job, and has such a pleasant presence on-air. I hate that CBS doesn’t seem to appreciate him enough to shelter his career!
I’m saddened and shocked. Jeff was excellent in that position and the chemistry between him and Dana and Michelle was worthy of an early Saturday morning in front of the TV. It just doesn’t seem right.
Jeff was the only reason to watch CBS Saturday. You lost me as a viewer.

I can’t believe CBS is letting Jeff glor go. How stupid. The chemistry between those three anchors was really enjoyable to watch. Glor is the highlight of the three I love his wit. It’s taped every Saturday morning so I don’t miss it. The show is going to be a lot flatter without him, not not so sure it will be worth watching anymore. Wherever he goes, I go!

I hate to see Jeff go. He’s a great anchorman and I thought it was ridiculous they took him off the evening news in the first place. They really didn’t give him a chance to earn a solid viewership. I shall miss him. Bring him back!!!😢
