Manchester Airport, proud to connect the North ✈️ Our journey has seen us evolve from an airport handling a few thousands passengers in 1938, to one welcoming 30m through our terminals a year today. With 50 airlines serving 200 destinations across four continents and a £1.3bn transformation programme, we're building a world-class airport that connects people to the world for business, leisure, education, family or new experiences. We are proud of our history, heritage and landscape, and the people, culture and warmth that makes your Northern airport. 🔊 Sound on for Stellify by Ian Brown.

October was the 13th consecutive month that our passenger record has been broken, and comes after we joined the ‘30 Million Club’ last month by recording 30.1million passengers in a 12-month period. Today, we publish our annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report for 2023/24, detailing the progress we have made in delivering our CSR Strategy: “Working together for a brighter future.” In the report, we talk about the launch of the Jet Zero Curriculum in our Aerozone, teaching young people about the role Sustainable Aviation Fuel will play in the decarbonisation of aviation, how more than 2,000 young people visited our on-site Aerozone to learn more about careers in our sector, and that through our Community Trust Fund more than £100,000 was donated to fantastic causes in our local community. Yesterday, we welcomed Secretary of State for Transport Louise Haigh MP and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson to our airport, as they announced the establishment of the new Accessibility Task and Finish Group to support passengers with additional travel needs. During their visit, the Minister and the Baroness were able to see first-hand the latest ambulift technology in use at the airport, which ensures that all passengers who need assistance to access their aircraft can do so safely and with dignity. Manchester Airport is proud to be part of the Group, which will work to introduce improvements to the air travel experience for passengers with accessibility needs.

Manchester Airport is leading the way in protecting its customers from rogue traders by becoming the first UK airport to adopt the new Accredited Airport Parking Provider Scheme, set by The International Parking Community (IPC) . By committing to the IPC's scheme, our Meet & Greet and Park & Ride customers can park at our airport with greater security and peace of mind. Sue West, Director of Landside Operations at Manchester Airport, said: "Being the first UK airport to adopt the Accredited Airport Parking Provider scheme means our passengers can easily find parking at the airport and go away with the peace of mind that comes with knowing that their chosen car park has been inspected and that those working there have to uphold high standards."

Throughout October, we celebrated Black History Month at Manchester Airport ❤️💛💚 A month of activities took place, including sharing colleague stories on black culture and history, online events, Afro-Caribbean food, music from a steel band, and colleagues were encouraged to wear a piece of clothing which reflects any culture they identify with. In Terminal 2, the honeycomb lights were set to the official Black History Month colours, and passengers had the opportunity to learn about Black British art and culture. #BlackHistoryMonth #ReclaimingNarratives #BHM2024
