I think this ip is mis using his talk page [1] and [2]. It may be a good idea to revoke the ip's talk page access. Untamed1910 (talk) 15:33, 2 August 2023 (UTC)

Suspected block evasion
Hi! I know you have been blocking many vandals yesterday. But one seems to be in block evasion. You blocked a person on 5th August 2023 at 01:32 UTC. Coincidentally, after that, a 4 yr old account that was not used for a long time, started becoming super active since 20:47 UTC, 5 August 2023 till now, doing similar edits, on Manipur and Meitei people related topics. This person got my attention because of the multiple warnings in their talk page, becoming very similar to the previously blocked one, regarding behaviour. Haoreima (talk) 22:19, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Bbb23: Want to let you know too! Haoreima (talk) 22:26, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
- Confirmed and blocked/tagged two. See Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of Mubaoinam Courcelles (talk) 22:32, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Bbb23 and Courcelles: Again as this new few hrs old account, super active in the articles on the same topics. --Haoreima (talk) 12:01, 6 August 2023 (UTC)

Your block of 105.74.15.179
Hey, just giving you a heads-up that this a known LTA hopper. And that they've hopped again. –Skywatcher68 (talk) 13:22, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
SPI
Hey, thanks for helping out at SPI! Just so you know, when you block sockpuppet(s) like you did at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/David3829128, or if you determine no abusive sockpuppetry has occurred, you can go ahead and mark the case closed. You don't need to be a clerk or anything to do that. Cheers, and thanks! Reaper Eternal (talk) 15:22, 6 August 2023 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – August 2023
News and updates for administrators from the past month (July 2023).
Interface administrator changes
- The tag filter on Special:NewPages and revision history pages can now be inverted. This allows hiding edits made by automated tools. (T334338)
- Special:BlockedExternalDomains is a new tool that allows easier blocking of plain domains (and their subdomains). This is more easily searchable and is faster for the software to use than the existing MediaWiki:Spam-blacklist. It does not support regex (for complex cases), URL path-matching, or the MediaWiki:Spam-whitelist. (T337431)
- The arbitration cases named Scottywong and AlisonW closed 10 July and 16 July respectively.
- The SmallCat dispute arbitration case is in the workshop phase.
AIV block of Special:Contributions/85.101.220.238
Good morning,
Thank you for the AIV block of the LTA IP noted above. Can I please trouble you to do an additional deletion of their edit on my talk page that they did when I reverted their vandalism? I’m uncomfortable with a Nazi flag in my page history. Let me know if this isn’t the right venue. Thanks in advance. GhostStalker (Got a present for ya! / Mission Log) 13:57, 9 August 2023 (UTC)

This user recreated their promotional page after you deleted it. Could you delete it again and possibly block them too? Thanks. 2601:1C0:4401:F60:ED10:704E:9330:D0F1 (talk) 18:33, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

AntiVandal whitelist request
Hello, could you add my legitimate alternative account, 64andsomeone, to the AntiVandal whitelist? It would be used to revert vandalism and/or do other maintenance tasks when it's on public computers and/or unsecure networks (not controversial edits). Thanks. signed, 64andtim (chat) 01:15, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hey @64andtim - I've given your alternate account rollback so it can access the script. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 01:18, 15 August 2023 (UTC)

Hurricane Dean
Hi, thanks for your help at Hurricane Dean. However, I noticed that the semi-protection you put in is significantly shorter than the previous protection which expired only a short time ago. The page also had another one-year semi-protection due to persistent vandalism. Please see the page's protection history. Would you please consider making the semi-protection longer? It's long been a vandalism target. Thanks. Barttolee (talk) 21:48, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- Whoops, didn't realize it had been previously protected. Semi'd for 3 years. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 22:00, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Website Links
Whether or not adding website links is appropriate for an "encyclopedia," like Wikipedia is "questionable," because in today's day and age, complete information is the best way to go, no matter what! It makes life so much easier to find whatever it is you're looking for. I've visited NUMEROUS websites that had almost nothing on them, but MOST websites have just about everything, and that's a good thing! 2600:8805:9017:EE00:4D6D:70EB:D138:9F17 (talk) 16:07, 21 August 2023 (UTC)

Thanking you so very much that the thank yous are starting to feel sarcastic
You helped me learn something new today.
Explanation: I learn nothing whatsoever at school.
Explanation #2: You taught me that there is such thing as ¨redacting¨ on Wikipedia.
As such, I´m giving you a barnstar. Z!t!@n«T@1k» 21:51, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

Sorry, Ingenuity: this is my fault for posting a badly-designed set of conditions. Hey, just wanted to let you know that I converted @Neutralhomer:'s (courtesy ping) email ER into a partial block, this also ensures that they wouldn't accidentally violate the restriction. --qedk (t 愛 c) 14:50, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
