The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is an eight-issue comic book limited series adapting the L. Frank Baum novel of the same name. The series was written by Eric Shanower with art by Skottie Young and published by Marvel Comics.

Plot summary

After being transported by a cyclone to the land of Oz, Dorothy Gale travels to the Emerald City to try to find a way home. Along her way she joins with a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodman and a Cowardly Lion.

Reception

IGN gave the issues of the series an average rating of 9.2 out of 10.[1]

Sequel

The series has been followed by an adaptation of The Marvelous Land of Oz by the same team.
