Talk page work
I think you need to slow down. You are a new account with only 3 edits to articles, but now at 191 total edits to talk pages and project pages. Edits like you made at Talk:Alha aren't really helpful. The talk header template has an automatic archive function that avoids the extra clutter of a separate archive box, and that talk page had no automatic archiving in place besides. You added an empty archive box when no archives existed. Similarly, at Talk:Baldur's Gate 3, you added an ITN template when there was already one present. I think you need to go back over your recent edits and review them again to ensure they are improvements. -- ferret (talk) 21:02, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
- Understood, sorry If I caused any harm. got it about the archives. Yeah, I think I went ahead of myself following a certain template without considering things. Sorry about the misunderstanding. I'll get how things work. Thanks for pointing it out, I still have some doubts. I'll review some stuff, yes. —Nanami73⚓ (talk) (contributions) 21:12, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
- {{talk header}} includes all the functionality of {{archive box}}, so generally you shouldn't add archive box to talk pages with the header. Automatic archiving has a specific configuration that must be present, and putting details into archive box (or talk header) does not cause it. You've also moved talk header down on several talk pages, putting it below article history and sometimes wikiproject banners. It should be first, as the name implies: It's the header. -- ferret (talk) 21:24, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
- I see, I thought that putting specific parameters to the header was enough to enable it on the {{archive}} template, I also thought it would improve readability and understanding if it was separated from the main header. My mistake sorry. I'll correct the mistakes I made as soon as possible, I'm not at home at this momend and I am typing this from my cellphone. I think you corrected some for me, the cellphone layout is a bit strange for me and I couldn't read well if that was the case. If it was, I'm very thankful. And thanks again for pointing it out. I tried to inform and read as much as I could but now I see that there are things I don't understand how I thought I did. I'll improve and be able to contribute more. I tried articles and corrected just redundancy and grammar mistakes for now on them. To be honest, I wanted to try something else. But I guess I really need to slow down. The articles I tried improving beyond only grammar, but I got stick on find reliable references for things I wanted to improve. I tried to see what other people do, but to be honest I wasn't very successful on reaching other people here. Although it felt lonely I was enjoying learning about how Wikipedia works and how it is maintained by volunteers. I thought I could improve the volunteers' experience since I don't have many knowledge os specific subjects and the articles about the things I do have reference and a bit of knowledge seems to be good articles that I couldn't come with a way to improve further. I then read this info page and saw a way I could be comfortable helping. So, I think that really made me a bit too eager to feel productive. But I'll review some stuff and try to improve. Again, I'm very thankful for you to reach out to me. —Nanami73⚓ (talk) (contributions) 21:56, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
- Happy to answer any questions you have. Just remember most talk pages evolve and develop because they have heavy use. In general, this will just naturally happen on it's own. -- ferret (talk) 22:05, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
- I see, thanks for clarifying and pointing out. I could see better now what were the notifications you are really going out of your way to correct mistakes I did. I'll review them after that, and really you could just warned me. I'm very thankful. You don't need to do it if you don't want to. As soon as I get home I'll undo if there is any left. And simce you mentioned you would answer my questions, I plan on doing that, but please warn me if I am being too much. Thanks again, and I might come talk to you as soon as I'm free to get to my computer. —Nanami73⚓ (talk) (contributions) 22:11, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
