[edit]Hi Susan,
I would like to discuss this with you off wiki. DM me at @voxpopulare and I will give you my email address so we can communicate in more detail in a more private manner before communicating publicly.

[edit]In the reference you source Lerner as the provider of the orthography used, but it's actually provided by the Dakhóta Iápi Okhódakičhiye. oncamera (talk page) 21:26, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
- I copied the words from the book I cited. I don't know what the publisher used to get them. If you are certain that's what Lerner uses then please go ahead and change the ref (and remember to remove the old one). Thanks. -SusanLesch (talk) 21:57, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
- I wonder if this app is related to this one, which seems to have disappeared at the university. Thank heavens for the Internet Archive. -SusanLesch (talk) 23:02, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
- The same Dakota teachers developed both dictionaries. The new app is much better. oncamera (talk page) 01:00, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
- Better if you like phones I guess. I prefer web browsers; they give URLs, useful for citation. How would I cite this app in the situation before us? -SusanLesch (talk) 23:01, 12 May 2024 (UTC)

Creation stories
[edit]I saw the edit you removed and thought I would inform you that I am a Dakota person and I know multiple creation stories that exist outside of Bdóte and even Minnesota. Don't act like you own the article just because other editors have suggested minor changes to keep it on topic. oncamera (talk page) 00:58, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
- I don't own this article any more than anyone else does. Pardon me for questioning "What creation story exists at Mille Lacs? The Mdewakanton are named after the lake, but didn't mean it's a creation story." (Wouldn't you have??) We're OK now I think. I'm not Dakota but am trying hard to represent them (you!) well. -SusanLesch (talk) 03:06, 31 March 2024 (UTC)

Bambach on Lisa del Giocondo
[edit]Hi Susan, hope you're doing well. As promised, I looked in Bambach to see what she said about Lisa del Giocondo; not much I'm afraid but maybe you'll find it helpful. Send me an email when you get a chance and I'll respond with images of the pages in question. Best – Aza24 (talk) 02:18, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
Inappropriate warning
[edit]WP:Do not template the regulars - and also you're mistaken anyway, I actually restored your preferred version, not mine. GiantSnowman 16:59, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
- No, DMY is not my preferred format. I do not understand the script used by an intervening editor (it changed only the date on the maintenance template which at the time was MDY, but then it changed the article refs to MDY dates). Then by undoing them, you changed the maintenance template date again and reverted the article refs back to DMY dates. Edit warring is not going to solve this. The article's date format is out of sync with its own refs. -SusanLesch (talk) 20:08, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
