In 2K24, MyRISE introduces two all-new unique storylines: Unleashed and Undisputed. 

Forge your career path with 80 rewards to be unlocked, including arenas, Paybacks, entrances, MyFACTION cards, and championship belts. Between the two stories, there are over 6 hours of dialogue, with voiceover for the first time from Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, Mick Foley, Shotzi, and more. 

In Unleashed, the women’s division storyline, players get the chance to express themselves as a wrestler who lives by her own rules. The wrestling company she built from the ground up is the hottest promotion on the indie scene. But when given the opportunity to share her talents on the larger stage of WWE, will she “Unleash” her full potential, or hesitate and hold back?

In both stories, William Regal is back in MyRISE as the General Manager of Raw, helping players navigate backstage shenanigans and rivalries with other Superstars. And in Unleashed, players may just need him as a sounding board. The MyRISE team saw this story as the perfect opportunity to explore the larger-than-life characters that make the storytelling in WWE “can’t miss” - and gave ourselves the same directive that William Regal gives players in Unleashed - to “take big swings” and “live the fantasy.” 

This year, this means that players not only have the chance to rub elbows with brutal heels, self-obsessed Hollywood stars, and supernatural characters, but to also have the opportunity to become these archetypes themselves, both in the ring and behind the scenes. 

As players explore each archetype, in a MyRISE first, they’ll unlock 3 new entrances, and 2 new Paybacks, that will be usable game-wide. They’ll define what sort of heel, star, or supernatural character they want to be, with choices that will be reflected not only in dialogue, matches and cutscenes, but costumes and load screens.

In addition, players will be able to see a different perspective in a series of optional storylines that feature a new MyRISE original character - Psycho Sally, allowing for a deeper dive into the themes of Unleashed, or for anyone who finds a special space in their heart for Sally, the young, purple-haired, impressionable NXT recruit.

Who will players ultimately decide to be as they push their way to the top of the WWE women’s division? Well, that’s up to them!

We’re not done… Now introducing the men’s division story, Undisputed. When Roman Reigns unexpectedly vacates his Championship, ending his record-setting run and leaving the seat at the head of the WWE table empty, players have the chance to step out of Roman’s shadow and become “Undisputed.”

In Undisputed, we set out to create a story with Roman Reigns as our “big bad.” Roman has had smaller roles in previous MyRISE stories, but none that truly featured the Head of the Table in a way that reflects his larger-than-life presence on WWE programming. This year we went all-in on the Tribal Chief, including recording a voiceover with Reigns for the first time. As we all know, Roman has been unstoppable the past few years, so we wanted to give players the ultimate challenge of trying to dethrone him. In our story, Roman follows in The Rock’s footsteps and takes a sabbatical to Hollywood. But Roman doesn’t go away quietly – he still looms large over the WWE Universe, calling out anyone who attempts to fill his shoes as a second-hand imposter. And if getting Roman in the ring and trying to defeat him isn’t difficult enough on its own, he won’t even “acknowledge” you as a legitimate challenger until you approach his record-setting reign. 

Players will have significant choices to make in their Undisputed journey, including whether to align with SmackDown GM The Miz, which unlocks a section of stories where they can show off their more villainous side. This is a meaningful choice that leads to unique stories, cutscenes, alliances, and rewards whether players decide to work with Miz, or tell him he’s not so “awesome.” It also gives players who want to try both paths the ability to replay Undisputed with an alternate experience.

In addition to original arenas and championship belts, for the first time ever, players will be able to unlock MyRISE-specific MyFACTION cards from both Undisputed and Unleashed. In Undisputed, this includes cards for fan-favorite characters such as Cole Quinn, Chosen, Slade, Tavish, and Xavier Woods’ alter ego, Zero.
