Great quality image, although not HD pristine quality. This seems made by a very nice copy, maybe no a restored or remastered form the original prints, but this is from very nice prints, in really good quality.
The item includes some optional subtitles (Finnish, Nederland, and other European langauges which I don't know about), and it inlcudes also optional German audio.
But this don't includes any Portuguese options.
Recommended for the Spidey fans.

This DVD scores points with me for original and imaginative plots. I was especially impressed with the Dr Doom storyline arc. This gives youngsters an insight into the political games and emotional devastation of tyrants without preaching or flag waving. The series as a whole is well animated, written and performed with very good incidental music.

However, some of the other "guest stars" didn't do it for me, with Sub-Mariner and Vulture Man proving irritants. I also felt the background characters were too much in the background, offering little in the way of dramatic subplots or comic banter. Still, the Bugle's monstrous boss JJ gets some good one liners and I enjoyed seeing Peter's feisty side with him.

What detracted from this - and indeed the Spider-Man 5000 series as a whole - is that almost every episode featured at least one scenario where our hero is in peril which would frighten younger children. In fact two entire episodes on this DVD - The Web of Necrophilia and Arsenic and Aunt May - are not suitable for children under about 9 or 10. Necrophilia looks extremely sinister with the banshee like wailing and evil of his girlfriend upping the distress factor. Meanwhile, smaller and more impressionable viewers wouldn't rest assured the murder attempts in Arsenic won't come to anything but be scared out of their wits.

I'm all for not treating children like babies but some accommodation has to be made for their vulnerability, too.
