According to the latest poll from Newtype, new shows (such as .hack//SIGN, Ai Yori Aoshi, and Chobits) dominate the old for fan favorites.

Anime Nation has posted a list publiched in the latest issue of Newtype, about the most popular Anime and Anime characters in Japan today. Anime Nations transcript of the entire list includes the top 10 in each character category and the top 20 in the Anime category.
