Marta is an attractive 37-year-old sculptor who is emotionally dependent on her overbearing mother. When Marta finally gets married and wants to have a baby, her mother desperately wants to keep Marta's love only for her. Close-Ups is a up to date psychological drama that presents the power of family ties. The story introduces the relationship of two women: the Mother and her adult daughter Marta. Marta is a sculptress. Having a beautiful apartment and a loving husband, Jacek, she still does not feel happy. She is restrained from living her own life independently from her Mother to whom she is totally grateful for all the Mother devoted to Marta. She keeps coming back to her family home whenever her Mother calls. Those two cannot live without each other and yet cannot be together.
