Englisch I don’t usually comment on individual seasons of the same series, but after watching the third season of The Crown, I feel like I must add something. If only because the third season basically starts a new story with new actors, by which the creators show that the royal family has entered into a new period. Truth to be told, I wasn’t too overjoyed about Olivia Colman at first. I liked Tobias Menzies as Philip much more. Over time, however, I got use to the new faces and started to enjoy this season as much as the previous. I’m not usually a fan of similar period royal dramas, but The Crownhas something that glues you to your seat. The music is of course still great, even though its connection to Zimmer has grown weaker. Anyhow, the screenwriting of some of the episodes is bordering on genius, especially in the first half of the season. The second half just builds on that. The most interesting character of this season is definitely Prime Minister Wilson. I’ve grown very as fond of him as of Winston Churchill. ()

Englisch I didn't follow any updates about the series, so the first moments of the third season completely threw me off. The massive changes in the cast forced me to get used to the already known characters all over again. Anyway, the recasting was clearly a good move, the writers also did an excellent job, so even the third season was a satisfaction on my part. ()

Englisch The Crown is praised from the first row and although I really enjoyed the previous series, in the end, math won, and I always reached for a four-star rating. With the third series and its wholesale replacement of all characters with older actors, like many fans, I was afraid that I wouldn't get used to the new actors and the series would stop entertaining me completely. And indeed, in the first episodes, that happened, and I even thought that maybe I wouldn't finish watching this series, or at least not as quickly as I eventually did (about three weeks after the second one, overall I was late) and especially Tobias Menzies I couldn't get used to at all. After some time, I started to think that Peter Morgan and the whole team did an excellent job once again; weaknesses that were initially seen turned into strengths, and on the contrary, we were served several best episodes of the whole series. Olivia Colman was still the biggest weakness for me of all, probably due to the character she plays, because Queen Elizabeth is not sympathetic to me at all (however, she didn't impress me in The Favourite either); however, who completely blew me away was Josh "Charles" O'Connor and I look forward to what he will show in the fourth series. Also, along with his sister, as it seemed to me that the children were not paid any attention in the Crown and finally started happening only in the middle of the third series. I will be ready for the fourth one immediately... 9/10 ()

Englisch This season stumbles slightly behind the first two. It's not that the polished artistic value of the previous seasons was higher, but the change of the cast made an unpleasant crack at the beginning, which was later stabilized, but I can't help feeling that I would rather appreciate the original actors under the hands of make-up artists, but with the original acting appetite and style.
