Cook Off

After Anesu gets pregnant by a classmate, she leaves school to look after the child. As a young single mother she continues to live at home, where she is subject to her mother’s withering looks. Her future looks dark and she thinks she’s blown it. However, cooking is her great passion. Anesu’s son and her best friend secretly decide to sign her up for a cooking contest. That seems like a great plan until she is out of the contest and has thrown away her future. (International Film Festival Rotterdam)
