Biography
Born in 1979 in Saitama, Japan. In 2001, he began his career in the TV documentary field. His first feature film Hyakuhachi (2008) won the Shindo Kaneto Awards and the Best New Director at the Yokohama Film Festival. In 2012, his second feature Space Brothers was a big commercial success and won both the Grand Prix and the Citizen's Choice at the 16th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.
