How should I put this – it wasn’t an enjoyable experience. To be honest, I was under the impression the whole time that the creators were trying to force humor into this crime mini-series, resulting in failing to shoot a quality crime story. And don’t even get me started on the humor. The police investigation was extremely idiotic, the final interrogation with the IV was the cherry on top of this misery. The dialogues were pathetic, the performances were poor, and the whole thing probably wasn’t even worth the one star. Well, good thing I got to see all those aerial shots of the Czech countryside. A lot helped by the fact that The Case for an Exorcist doesn't take itself seriously and actually downplays the whole case, I had to laugh frequently and the cast of Krobot, Melíšková, and Voříšková is just a real blast. Although not a philosopher, I attended two seminars by Michal Sýkora and I must say that I recognize his humor precisely, in some ways he was quite radical. Everything fit me and I had a great time.
