A slightly mysterious thriller about the importance of mail secrecy and responsible delivery of documents to the recipient. The MacGuffin is quite decent, and the length is appropriate enough that its technical weaknesses don’t start to annoy. Given the current events, the Moscow pro-regime comrades should not forget the wisdom of that old crone with an interest in numismatics and magic: “Lying can get you far, but you can’t go back.” ()
Technically it’s fine and the premise is cool, but horror-wise it's weak. I had the impression that I was watching a crime drama with a mysterious touch. It was good, but it could have been better. 50% ()
Russians have been quite impressive lately, even though their horror movies are often similar in many ways. More than horror, however, Konvert is a mysterious crime movie with occasional horror elements that didn't really add many points to its favor, so I rather appreciate the mystery and original storyline. Personally, I preferred the detective character rather than the main hero, who was a bit bland. Thumbs up for the runtime, during which Konvert didn't have much chance to bore, so it pleasantly flew by. ()
