Reviews (1)
A very good conversation piece with an excellent Tom Selleck and no less excellent unheralded actors as his "brothers in arms". The representatives of Churchill, Montgomery and de Gaulle were particularly fine, but Patton's winking was also pleasing, as was the unexpectedly funny smoking episode when presenting the invasion plans to the King and Queen. The script deftly avoids excessive pathos and is very human, and I liked the music. But it's a pity that the film is not longer, that's its only weakness. I wouldn't mind two-hour runtime at all. ()
