Secrets

I like French crime mini-series quite a bit, sometimes I was pleasantly surprised by what some of them turned out to be. However, this time I am very torn and still don't know what to think. It seems to me like an exceptional mixture of outstanding scenes, ideas, and surprises along with deaf, boring, or overthought places. The final resolution really knocked me out, I really don't know if it's excellent or absolutely terrible. I would expect it in Sherlock Holmes or Fantomas, but in a seemingly serious crime series? And Ingrid Chauvin impressed me exceptionally unsympathetically. And Olga Kurylenko could start getting proper roles. (07/03/2010)
