Running away from the police after being caught with a stolen dog, Toto hides out with typist Ginette. The pair fall in love. Toto is eventually arrested and sent to jail, but returns to his new-found love following his release, then uses tricks to get her top spot in a beauty contest. A third party interferes, but love wins through in the end. (Locarno Festival)
