Even though I like soccer, I didn’t know anything about this story. The authors have made the Serbian representatives look like a bunch of mama’s boys that you have to love. And it doesn’t really matter if you didn’t see the first episode, which is about how this group of guys got to the World Cup in Montevideo. The story starts with the travel to the World Cup, which must have been awfully difficult in the 1930s. I loved how the authors introduced a few situations that wouldn’t have happened nowadays, like the disaster with the jerseys. On the other hand, these absurd situations were exactly what made up the funny side of the movie. And the never-ending references to Yugoslavia and that rude yapping of the Croatian dude only helped. The only issue I had in the end was its length. I’d probably be happier if it were shorter. But it was all salvaged by the ending that showed probably the worst match in FIFA history. I watched this for the Challenge Tour 2015. ()
