Suzanne Marwille was given the role in this film as a wedding present and to compensate her for the fact that Lída Baarová was chosen to play in Lelíček in the Services of Sherlock Holmes instead of her. That’s a good thing. :) I like the film overall and I consider it a better Burian film from the first half of the 1930s. Lamač films are better overall, but this film also features Ella Šárková, Marie Grossová, Míla Reymonová and Helga Nováková, and I really love all of them. I also like the films in which Burian is in uniform. ()
