Juan finds himself unemployed and frustrated as he searches for work. His wife Marta accepts a humiliating job to feed their children; when Juan finds out, he sends them to the village. Outraged by working-class conformism, Juan makes a speech to the workers while organizing an unemployed “hunger march.” En route to the city, the protest passes through the village where his family is. Juan takes up arms with them as the revolution advances. (Morelia International Film Festival)
