William Cassidy (Julian Richings) lives a secluded life blogging on the subject of extraterrestrials, who he claims to have had contact with over the course of the last 40 years. On the night of a solar storm, William invites paranormal researcher Joe Sullivan (Adam Seybold) to join him in witnessing the historic event at his home. As the guest interviews William on camera about his previous interaction with alien life forms, the solar flare occurs causing an unidentified craft to fall out of the sky and into the woods behind William's house. The next thing he knows, he is being captured by a mysterious group who will seemingly go to any lengths necessary to unearth the truth about the suspected alien activity, starting with letting Dr Tobin (Lisa Houle) interrogate their imprisoned witness and viewing his footage of the event. Yet another one of those films that excessively indulges in handheld camera work, which I'm not particularly fond of, actually almost not at all. Moreover, it tries to fit in some pseudo-tough stuff about there being something out there. There is something out there, you just expect it, but here it's supposed to be even more intriguing, which ultimately doesn't happen. ()
