English What I really hate are adaptations of excellent literary works that try to be original, but end up looking infinitely stupid. I vowed to avoid rating trash, but I have already violated this resolution three times, and if I have rated the mutilation of Kundera's work in this way, my admiration and respect for Kohout's entertaining and instructive book command me to behave the same. It was the first Israeli film I have ever seen and I think it will be the last forever. If this is how Israelis handle literary treasures, hands off their films. ()
