The main character of this unusual Faust-paraphrasing is the Devil himself who arrives in Budapest by a London cab in order to get hold of the life-potion which has drastically diminished the number of people ending up in hell. Only one man has access to the suspicious professor, the plumber Kótai Géza. The Devil therefore tempts him in the image of a blonde beauty. After many adventures, Kóta only kidnaps the inventor, but does not steal the magic potion. Kótai and his victim as well as the detective investigating the case end up in a lunatic asylum, and the Nobel-Prize awaits the Buczella brothers who in the meantime have managed to lay their hands on the potion. The Devil has to leave the scene without having fulfilled his mission. (official distributor synopsis)
