I've come to expect that Dutch cinema often takes a different path compared to the rest of Europe. Forever Rich is about a rapper who tries to build his image as a tough guy but spirals into a deep depression when a video of him getting robbed in a grocery store ends up on YouTube. It’s a sharp commentary on how, for today's youth, their social media image seems to matter more than real life. The whole thing feels a bit mind-numbing, though. ()
