This astonishing feature pits two mysterious magicians - both masters of mind over matter - in a deadly duel. Simon, a sorcerer with supernatural powers, is summoned to Paris to solve a murder. There, though he doesn't speak her language, he meets and falls in love with a stunning young girl. (official distributor synopsis)

[memories of Summer Film School] A film about the meeting of fraudsters and what it's like when you begin to take your lie seriously. But still – better to be the master of a lie than a servant of the truth. Even if it means getting buried alive. It could be about that, maybe. (I don't know the original story of Simon Magus, but I don't want it to ruin my movie experience). Beautiful getting lost in the body of Paris. One favorite scene is when Simon decides to take a nap on the street, then gets up, lays a tissue next to him, and when people throw enough money on it, he waves down a taxi. ()
