Distant Thunder

The year - 1999: Nostradamus predicts the end of the world. The year 2020: A comet threatens human race in a few months. 1999 - the world didn't end, 2020 - it just might. 1999 - a family was torn apart, 2020 - will they come back together? Told in parallel, Distant Thunder tells the story of three sisters, Ayane, Kanon, and Oto, at two separate calamitous times. They drift apart over the years, finally coming together after the death of their father. Will there be a second, and possibly the last, chance to be a family? (Cinequest Festival)
