Barbara is a forty-year-old woman of Polish origin living in Budapest. She is a biologist, a wife and a mother. The death of her woman friend opens her eyes to the fact that she is lonely, unable to find her place. She suddenly decides to leave for Poland to visit her mother's grave. The few days in Poland are spent with encounters which do not cover true relationships, with the exception of the unexpected, mutual, eventful and loving relationship with Marek, the actor. Yet Marek has a family and a call in life, which are both important to him, and when Barbara arrives home, she must face the future alone again. (official distributor synopsis)
