Plots(1)

Using the hypothetic event of the burning down of an Inland Revenue Office as a starting point, the film responds to the eternal problem of the popular mistrust of the meaningfulness of paying taxes. In a series of particular cases, the film disproves the popular resistance towards this institution while showing how many meaningful activities are financed by tax money and what seemingly natural things people would be deprived of if no taxes were paid. The film was commissioned by the Ministry of Finance and supported the post-war policy during the two-year plan. (Doc Alliance Films)
