In a kind of philosophical dialogue, Doctor Augustin Masset and renowned writer Fabrice Toussaint discuss life and death... A whirlwind of encounters in which the doctor is the guide and the writer, his passenger, led to confront his own fears and anxieties... A poetic ballet, where each patient is a tome of emotions, laughter and tears... A journey to the throbbing heart of our lives. (San Sebastian International Film Festival)

“Thanks, Costa. Thanks for another film in which someone is dying of cancer. You have surpassed all others, with several patients dying at once. Thanks for the tons of enriching dialogue with them involving the film’s protagonist, a renowned author/philosopher with a nascent brain tumor. And thanks for those few scenes in which dying is not mentioned, when he goes in for a CT scan so that the doctors can evaluate his condition accompanied by music more suitable for a Bourne thriller. This odyssey of yours through saying goodbye to life and questions of what comes after it is just what we all needed. Especially the elderly half of the audience in the festival’s biggest screening room.” [San Sebastian IFF] ()
