The peasant Aurelio Rodriguez leaves prison and returns to his village. He discovers that his mother is dead and Paloma, whom he loves, lives with her son Felipe, the fruit of Paloma's rape by the thug Julio, and Aurelio's ex-friend who was responsible for his imprisonment. After some time, Aurelio gains Paloma's confidence concerning the men and marries her. The family is constantly harassed by Julio and his brother Ramiro. (official distributor synopsis)
