David Duchovny always goes for unique projects, and this one’s no exception. The film touches on an interesting point: in America, countless TV show ideas pop up every year, but only a handful make it to air. Out of that pile, only a few really stand out. The issue with this film, though, is that it didn’t dive deep enough into the dynamics of the TV industry, so it wasn’t as funny as it could’ve been. Instead, it focused too much on showing that creating a TV show is tough work.
