Late one night, a mysterious car is brought into the Chicago police impound garage after a deadly traffic accident. The on-call mechanics soon discover the car has a mind of its own. With hundreds of horsepower and two tons of reinforced steel at its command, it's a seemingly unstoppable killing machine capable of outrunning -- and outwitting -- humans. Some premises are stupid and will remain stupid no matter what. Specially one about a tentacled creature that can turn into a killer Transformer and eat people, so scary. The car is a weak horror villain, if only because it’s hard for it to hide in a wardrobe or in a darker corner and wait to scare its victims. It’s not bad in the details, Valette is too good a craftsman for that, but it doesn’t work as a whole. For instance, I wasn’t able to figure out the layout of the garage where most of the action takes place, and where in it which protagonist is at what time. ()
