Andrés, a young orphan, and his best friend, Maria, live in one of the poorest neighborhoods in the city. In spite of this, their lives have always been filled with love and happiness. The only family Andrés has ever known is Sócrates, a kind-hearted man who has raised the boy as if he were his own son. When Andrés learns that Sócrates is threatened with eviction, he assumes the identity of the landlord's long lost son, intervening on his guardian's behalf.
