In the midst of a years-long drought in 1910 Australia, a drunken rancher Michael McGuire (Finlay Currie) mistakes outlaw Richard Connor (Peter Lawford) as his long-lost son. Connor and his partner Gamble (Richard Boone) go along with the deception, convincing McGuire's daughter Dell (Maureen O'Hara) that they've arrived to help the old rancher save his cattle, when in fact they're planning a major swindle. The plan doesn’t go as hitched when Connor falls in love with Dell. (official distributor synopsis)
