It's a normal, fairly professionally shot action thriller that isn't overly brutal, but it tries to surprise with a pretty good twist at the end, so it succeeds in at least providing some mainstream entertainment. If these films attempted to be a bit grittier, it would definitely elevate them to slightly above average.
