In the Golden Eagle in Gyimesszereda a young actor of Felleghy's company, Sárossy Laci, appears as Brother Loránd. The constable's daughter likes the handsome young man, but her mother, whom Brother Loránd courted when she was young, thinks he is a swindler. Laci tries to save the situation by pretending to be Brother Loránd's son. Panni's mother writes Brother Loránd a letter, in which she congratulates him on his son. The famous song-writer is not angry with Laci for having used his name. He even offers his help for the young lovers. However, things work out differently. Brother Loránd is bewitched by Panni's blooming beauty and she falls in love with him, too. (Verleiher-Text)
