Ashutosh Gowariker

Born in Bombay in 1964, Ashutosh Gowariker starts his career as an actor before transitioning to directing with such films as Pehla Nasha (1993), Baazi (1995) or Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001), which wins the Prix du Public UBS in Locarno and is nominated at the Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film. In 2009, he signs What's your Raashee?, followed by Khelein hum jee jaan sey (2010) and Everest (2014-2015).
