This strange film wants to give the impression that it has something, something that will connect the parts to form a complex picture. Unfortunately, the “something” that happens in the end is predictable from almost the beginning. It was so predictable in fact, that I was sure the creators would come up with something else. Unfortunately, they don’t. But even without a good story, we’re left with interesting dialogues. Personally, I have the impression that those interesting bits can’t be joined into a meaningful whole because the film was never intended as such. If I’d read several quotes from a philosophy textbook picked at random, it would have been the same and I would have spent less time. ()
I can't help but somehow expect more from this film. Tilda Swinton is fantastic in it and shows how she can play different roles, how she can be both beautiful and cold. She’s one of the chameleon actresses. Unfortunately, the story is so mysterious that it's not really mysterious at all, and the blending of thriller with sci-fi doesn't work very well for me here. ()
