englanti After Neuilly, my girlfriend and I became serious again and visited MK2 Hautefeuille, where we were carried away by a brisk psychological drama. I dare to offer a comparison with the movie Regrets, both films are connected by a close release date, the presence of Yvan Attal, and similar genre and plot focus. Partir wins on all fronts. Above all, it relies on an excellent screenplay, the screenwriter knew exactly what he wanted and how to build the plot to a final climax. At times, it reminded me of Truffaut, with the ending reminiscent of Chabrol. During the final credits, I discovered that several pieces of music from the movie The Woman Next Door were used in the film, confirming my suspicion that the creators were inspired by Truffaut. The fact that this French drama is represented by excellent performances from an Englishwoman, a Spaniard, and an Israeli brings a smile to my face :-) ()

englanti Leaving didn’t really do it for me. The characters were pretty unlikeable, which made it hard to care about their struggles. Kristin Scott Thomas, though, was the standout—she gave a solid performance in every scene. But unfortunately, that’s not enough to save the movie. ()
