englanti I had high hopes for this film, expecting a thriller-packed experience that could compete with the best South Korean films. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to that promise. The first half was, for me, sadly average, boring, and at times tragically bad. The main investigator didn’t convince me in the most intense scenes, and the antagonist had little to work with. Adding the zany group of the victims' relatives, who wanted to take down the main killer and avenge their loved ones, made the film veer more into parody. Just the first shot of the woman with the crossbow who shot a snake with an arrow... I don’t know where the creators got their inspiration or if someone on the team came up with it, but it came off as quite comical. The second half, and especially the final third, saved the film a bit when a new suspect appeared, claiming responsibility for the expired serial murders. Without that explosive ending, it would have been a disaster. For me, it’s a 50%. ()

englanti If it weren't for all the nonsense, I'd probably be completely melting right now. It had an idea, a very good idea. And yet that got trampled on in a crazy way by the horribly botched action scenes, digital snakes, and other silliness. Some scenes even reminded me of American B-movie parodies. Unfortunately, not even the super surprising ending can save this... 2.5 stars. ()

englanti The plot clearly lacks any idea, as well as an interesting development and a point, and purely. In terms of a thriller, in the right hands (yes, Chan-wook Park is out) it would offer enough material to become a genre classic. But… But that's not the case, because it's completely ruined by over-the-top, silly and long action sequences packed with CGI (someone should pay for the snakes) with such a confusing and shaky camera that even epilepsy would get epilepsy fit after watching it. South Koreans like to make experiment with the seemingly incompatible things, and they often succeed. However, this is not the case, because it doesn't work neither as a dark freezing thriller nor as a silly over-the-top blockbuster action movie. Let alone working together as part of one movie. ()
