Nora (Emmanuelle Devos) is a 35-year old art gallery director and single mother who has been unlucky in love until now when she meets a successful businessman. Great and valuable film, which is only damaged by its unbearable length. When I looked into Arnaud Desplechin's filmography, I found out that he can't even make shorter films :-) However, Kings and Queen would be a fresh, captivating film if it had a duration of one hundred minutes. Mathieu Amalric delivers a flawless performance, Emmanuelle Devos brilliantly supports him. However, it is necessary to watch this film properly tuned in and have enough time reserved, because at times I felt like the film would never end.
