The participants featured in the documentary have experienced abuse of all kinds since childhood. Upon an invitation from Czech Television, they now meet in a TV studio. This therapeutic safe space gives them the courage to share their emotions and experiences of body shaming. For a while they feel as if they don’t have to hide anything, please anyone, or look a certain way. They talk openly about non-acceptance, bullying, obsession with food and weight, or scars on the body and soul. Others have long reduced their identity to a few hurtful phrases, but now the protagonists are able to add context to these words and combat their power by telling their own stories. (One World)
