I know that when you see the percentage I give this film, you’ll think I’m crazy, but this is a film from my teenage years, a favorite that I always enjoy watching. I stumbled upon the film by chance, and the fact that it’s one of my favorites is due to several coincidences that came together at just the right moment. The year I first saw the film, I think it was right around its release, or at the latest in 2001, we had HBO for about a month. It was one of those trials where if you like it, you can subscribe to HBO. We didn’t subscribe, but it was enough for us to catch this film. But more importantly, at that time, my brother and I were literally obsessed with wrestling, which aired on a sports channel. This film captivated us. I know that this film is qualitatively quite low and would probably get around 50%, but I don’t care. I simply give it the highest rating. Even today, my brother, friends, and I recall some quotes from the film that have literally become part of our everyday language. I love Ready to Rumble, and I admit it. For me, it’s a great film, possibly the best wrestling comedy I’ve ever seen. There aren’t that many, after all. ()
