From Georges Simenon, I read a detective story with his famous Maigret that terribly bored me. But if he also wrote such interesting stories and novels as this film, then hats off. Icon of French cinema, Nathalie Baye, dominates this film and shines alongside other great actors - Ludivine Sagnier and Roschdy Zem. I like Ludivine Sagnier, but what if her place was taken by Laura Smet, the actual daughter of Nathalie Baye? Perhaps we will someday see a film where both of them play together.
