With a few skeletons in his closet, namely a possible murder that he seems to have committed in a drunken haze, guilty longshoreman Bobo takes an isolated bait barge gig only to find the roughest waters lie ahead. Bobo rescues the beautiful Anna from an attempted suicide and falls in love with her in short order.
