The movie was stuck in a cringey vibe with a few good jokes thrown into the mix. The performances ranged from the stellar Karel Roden, who I totally bought as a religious fanatic, to Marián Čekovský. I'm definitely not planning on rewatching this movie. But I did give it one star because, let's be real, Czech movies can get a lot worse (see Eva Toulová). / Lesson learned: This time I'll quote the movie directly, because I couldn't come up with anything better: "Memory is like a Sten Gun, it fails when you need it the most." The characters are unrealistically sincere and full of strange reactions (like how long it takes for them to identify a death notice), likely just to make the humor even more explosive in its cynicism. It wasn’t. It needed more everyday situations, such as the plum scene with Tatiana. (2022.01.07)

Oddly enough, I don't find it as bad as many here claim it to be. Some passages are really funny (all be it in Suchánek’s slightly incorrect way) and especially well acted. Sometimes it's a bit chilling to be confronted with a not very encouraging reality... I think there are far worse comedies being made here now. This one's pretty harmless. (50%) (2023.02.26)

When you have a retarded script and guiltily smile at an antisemitic "joke", you come to the conclusion that neither Roden nor Langoš will save you. This hurt both in the head and in the ass. I don't know what Michal Suchánek was trying to do, but please never like this again. An amateur affair with famous actors, from which you can feel the least funny (meaning very awkward) position of Suchánek. [5%] (2024.04.15)
