Mr. Pfeiffer, i.e., David E. Kelley and the old guys at Crane, Pool & Schmidt are exactly what I didn't hope for after Ally McBeal. So why limit yourself to the black-and-white glossing over the fact that Shatner is part of this series? Of course, if you have a Star Trek cube for a brain, there’s probably nothing else you can do. ;) The rest of us will reap other (more relevant) benefits.
