Umberto Lenzi directed this CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST like horror movie, an unintentionally hilarious pastiche of elements from other cannibal movies. Janet Agren stars as Sheila Morris, a young executive from a New York City corporation who is sent off to Malaysia to team up with a mercenary named Mark Butler (Kerman) to destroy a cannibalistic cult headed by a fanatic named Jonas Melvyn. Soon, Sheila and Mark are fending off hordes of flesh hungry cannibals only to discover that Jonas is behind the cannibal attack and has gone completely mad. (officiële tekst van distribiteur)

Eaten Alive! does not bring anything new to the cannibal genre. It's as if there were so many cannibal movies made around 1980 simply because multiple filmmakers had one idea and each of them went and made it, and all of them filmed almost the same things. Boring, repetitive scenes, nudity that is horrible - the aboriginal woman with artificial breasts is a tragedy - and gore that only works for the animals, who unfortunately die for real. ()
