Pyotr Avdeich has spent 10 years in prison on an unfair accusation of counter-revolutionary activity. He returns to his hometown: his house got old and ramshackle, and the only relative left in town is his granddaughter Lisa, sent here by her parents to help her grandfather to get by, who’s not very happy with this assignment. His neighbors avoid him, yet he got life and freedom ahead! But it’s June 19th, 1941, and only three days after Pyotr Avdeich’s homecoming the town is seized by the Nazis. The invaders need inside men among the town population, especially since a partisan squad is operating nearby. The Nazis offer Avdeich to cooperate and, thus, have a quiet life – after all, he truly has the reason to hate the Soviet authorities… (Марс Медиа)
